|
|
Greetings,
I would greatly appreciate some help. I am new to shipworks and are experiencing a few annoying problems. I am running shipworks via Leopard with vmware fusion and bootcamp. I am also using Miva merchant for my store.
1) I can't upload my information back to Miva. I assume I hit endicia export and it should upload the recent changes? I may be wrong.
2) when I try to print when processing with endicia I always have to uncheck "override dazzle print settings." Is there a way to make the default so I don't have to uncheck the box. If I leave it checked my labels print out all screwy. Furthermore, half the time I can print, half the time I can't. I have a dual dymo label printer. I have it selected as my printer. Yet, It works when I first sign on and after that it never works again. I even tried deleting and adding it and that didn't work.
3) while in shipworks I cant get my scale to work in the export to dazzle manage screen. It works if I try to print a label directly from endicia, but not via shipworks. I click on weight and it says cant find a valid usb scale.
4)I am using ultimate order status in miva. Is there a way to have shipworks update the info in ultimate order status so packages show as shipped or do I have to manually do this?
5) is there a way to set the scale within shipworks to ounces? I believe I read there wasn't a way to do this, but I'm not sure.
6) I have an order to St. Thomas which is part of the USVI. I have the correct zip code. However, the ship to country keeps defaulting to St. Croix, when is should be Us Virgin islands. I edit the country, province, etc and it immediately ignores what I did and puts it back to st. croix.
7) is there a way to set a filter so shipments to military addresses aren't treated as international orders. I dont see an option for APO in the filters.
6)when i hit process the system hangs up sometimes, or takes forever
Thanks in advance for your time. I really want to use shipworks but these initial problems are driving me insane and costing me too much time.
Thank you |

By default, Miva Merchant does not offer an order status option. If you are using Sebenza's Ultimate Online Status module for Miva 5.x, ShipWorks will interact with this module to push status and tracking back to Miva Merchant after an order has been shipped.

You can set the default so that ShipWorks does not try to override DAZzle's printer settings. Go into the Layout tab of the Endicia Preferences in ShipWorks. For each service method that is listed, uncheck the Override Dazzle Print Settings checkbox. With this checkbox disabled for each layout, make sure that each layout you will be pointing to is set in DAZzle to print to the desired printer.

ShipWorks does not currently support USB scales. We support a limited number of serial port scales. The list is available on the ShipWorks features page on our site.

See my reply to your first question. In addition, to enable support for this in ShipWorks, go to Manage -> Manage Stores -> Store Settings -> Download Settings -> Miva Merchant. Make sure the option is enabled for the Sebenza Ultimate Order Status module.

Are you editing the country on the Destination tab of the Endicia Export screen in ShipWorks, before processing?

Some customers who checkout from your online store will inevitably enter APO addresses a bit differently. You can set a filter to filter on the order's Ship To State code (AE, AF, AP), and you might also want to filter on Ship To City (APO), and any other variations that you are seeing on your APO orders.

Are you seeing the same result, whether in Boot Camp, or VM Ware? I am not familar enough with either to comment on specific configuration changes that you might want to consider within those systems.
Thanks,
Wes

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate you taking the time out to help me.
I was able to fix some of my issues from reading your replies. I assume with a mac there is no serial printers that would work?
1) When Shipworks updates Sebenza's ultimate order status. It is also generating the emails that this mod sends out? I ask because I don't want to send one invoice from shipworks and another from the mod side of things. I do love the fact it updates the information.
If I have a customer that orders 3 products and one is on back order, Is it safe to assume the products that shipped will display ship next to them and the back order item will display back ordered?

I try to edit it in the order details page first. it appeared to save that information but as soon as i click away it defaults back to displaying st. croix as the country. I also highlighted the order, clicked endicia and tried to edit it in the destination field. this didn't work either. Sorry if my terminology is off, I'm no way familiar with using this software nor the pc version of endicia. It is way different then the os x version. The OS X version is more modern and up to date feature and ease of use wise.

I set this up, but I don't see a change in the amount of international customers. It says I have over 2000 international customers. I know this isn't correct. Thanks.

I have yet to try it in bootcamp alone. I will. I'm scared I am going to have to reauthorize windows again and I was trying to avoid that headache. I guess I will get back to you on this one.
Thank you for your help!
