Hello,

We use Shipworks. Will accessing MIVA via SFTP be a problem in any way?

The Miva Merchant modules access the website via HTTPS and doesn't use the FTP/SFTP protocols at all.

Here's what Miva wrote us:

The only failing issue I see in your PCI report is FTP being enabled. McAfee considers FTP access a PCI issue. To clear that scan we can either restrict FTP access to a specific IP address(es) that you provide where you'll always connect from (office, etc), or we can disable FTP and enable sFTP, which is allowed. Most recent FTP clients or web design software should support sFTP, and it's usually just a checkbox to enable it. If you have old software or have a third party that connects directly to the site for order fulfillment etc, they may not support sFTP. Let me know which option you want to use; if it's restrict by IP, we'll need to know what IPs to allow. You can find your current IP address by going to http://www.hostasaurus.com and looking at the very bottom middle of the page.
*end*

If we disable FTP and enable SFTP, will that in any way effect shipworks? Do you support SFTP? I guess that was my question. Sorry for confusion. I'm not particularly savvy on this. We work with a consultant on most of our web tech issues.

Nope, disabling it will not affect ShipWorks in any way shape or form. ShipWorks does not use FTP or sFTP for any reason.
