I had more questions, but read a few answers in the other forum posts. :)

Does ShopInvoice allow mixing of UPS and USPS orders for printing?

Work flow for UPS labels and shipped email with tracking number. How does this work? We would need to manually enter weights for each package (since ours might be over or under the Merchant calculated weight). Plus there might be multiple boxes sometimes. I know ShopInvoice can export Worldship data and maps, which would take care of the multiple boxes and weights. But what happens to the shipped email from ShopInvoice? How does it know the packages were shipped and what the tracking number is? We don’t ship ALL orders everyday. We need the tracking email part desperately. We are getting tons of calls for trcking information.

Networkable? We have one person who just answers the phones and takes care of orders and statuses. Another takes care of shipping. If ShopInvoice can do the UPS shipping, we need it running on two systems.

Yes. ShopInvoice allows you to print UPS Labels, and USPS labels using a combination of UPS OnLine Tools, UPS WorldShip, USPS Labeling, Endicia Internet Postage and Stamps.com.

Shipping packages with ShopInvoice is simple. You can customize the main order view to show you the shipping method that was selected by the customer at the time they checked out from your store. Then, right click the order, and select one of our built-in shipping features. For UPS packages there are two methods - you can create labels, send notifications, and track packages using the built-in UPS OnLine Tools (this approach is quite streamlined - very much point and click). All of the ship to address information is already in ShopInvoice, so you don't have to re-key anything (although you can make changes if needed). Weights are pulled from Miva Merchant as well, but you can modify the weight if need be. You can add multiple packages for a shipment, change box type, etc. You can also process and print your label directly from within ShopInvoice. The other method of processing UPS shipments would be to use our WorldShip export. This method exports shipping address information to the WorldShip program. Most customers find using the built-in UPS OnLine Tools to be a significant time saver because there is no exporting or re-keying involved - everything is done without leaving ShopInvoice.

If you use the UPS OnLine Tools in ShopInvoice, tracking numbers will be stored for each shipment. You can set the UPS Shipping Center to automatically send shipped, delivered, and exception email notifications to your customers. Alternatively, you can use the Email Center in ShopInvoice to send custom formatted tracking notifications (with your own design/logo/formatting) to your customers.

You can track both UPS and USPS packages directly from within ShopInvoice. If a customer calls in you can type the order number or customer name into the Quick Search fields and ShopInvoice will find the order. Simply right click on the order to track your packages directly from within ShopInvoice. You can also right click and email a tracking notification to your customer that includes the tracking link.

ShopInvoice is not a networkable application - that is, if you have it on more than one machine the two copies will not talk to each other. However, with the a single store ShopInvoice license you can install ShopInvoice on multiple computers as long as you are using ShopInvoice with the SAME Miva Merchant online store. Some of our customers in similar situations to you find this helpful.
