Since we switched to the new order management system earlier this year, Shipworks is not automatically promoting the orders as shipped in Marketworks. I asked about it then but didn't get anywhere and have just been doing it manually. But, I'd really like it to be automated like it used to be. Help with this please.
Also, delivery confirmation numbers are not being sent to paypal. It is being updated at ebay but shouldn't it also send the tracking to paypal? I'm having to do that manually too.
Please help.

I just tested this with our internal test store for Marketworks (MarketplaceAdvisor) using their OMS System, ShipWorks v2.9.72, and confirmed the order did get promorted with the tracking number correctly.
Ensure you're running the latest version of ShipWorks v2.9. Also ensure you have the action setup to automatically send the information to Marketworks. In Manage > Actions > you would see an Update Online Status, if you edit it it should look like:
Update Online Shipment
Run tasks when: Shipment Processed
With Service: Any
For: Any
Task 1: Update Online Shipment
Task 2: Promote Order
Task 3: Set Order Status [Shipped]

The Tracking/Delivery Confirmations do not push to PayPal in any fashion. Unfortunately this is expected behavior, the PayPal API doesn't give us a way update orders to PayPal automatically. _________________ Brett Berger

Sadly the limitation here is on the PayPal side, their technology doesn't provide us a way to complete this update currently. If they add that functionality to their technology in the future we'd like update to support as well. _________________ Brett Berger

Hi -
Using version 2.9.70 of Shipworks...when I check for update, this is said to be the latest version.
I am trying to get tracking info to transfer to Marketworks and saw this post..thought it looked like the solution for me. I have a friend who is getting tracking # to marketworks, but the way he is doing it the orders are automatically being marked as shipped in MW when the info passed to MW. We do not want that to happen at the time the orders are processed and labels printed in Shipworks....we print all of our labels in the AM and pick all day...we do not want the orders in MW to me marked as shipped when the labels are processed in case there is an inventory error and the order ends up not shipping that day.
The Shipworks screen shown above looks like the solution for us...I am reading it as Task 1 would send the tracking info to MW, Task 2 would mark the MW order as shipped, and Task 3 would mark order as shipped in Shipworks. My plan was to mimic this action but EXCLUDE task 2 and not promote the MW order to shipped. We could then manually mark them as shipped in MW at the end of the day which send shipping email to customer.
HOWEVER, when I went to do this action in Shipworks the tasks were different...when I set up 'Update online shipment" the taks reads "The online order will be marked as shipped and the tracking information will be uploaded." We don't want the order to be marked as shipped...we only want it to do task one as shown in the above example. Please help us upload the tracking without marking the order as shipped. Thanks AL |
