Hi, I have the following questions regarding ShopInvoice:

1. Can it send shipment confirmation emails to customers with tracking numbers?

2. Do I need a mail server installed on my PC?

3. If I FTP my entire Miva order tables each time, how does ShopInvoice know which are new orders?

4. What is your upgrade policy and average cost?

1. Can it send shipment confirmation emails to customers with tracking numbers?

Yes. With the UPS OnLine Tools built into ShopInvoice you have the option to have tracking emails automatically sent to your customers. Our USPS support also offers this capability as well.

2. Do I need a mail server installed on my PC?

No. If you use our built in email capabilities, you can configure ShopInvoice to use your ISP's outgoing mail server to send email.

3. If I FTP my entire Miva order tables each time, how does ShopInvoice know which are new orders?

ShopInvoice keeps track of orders locally using it's own XML file that is kept on your PC.

4. What is your upgrade policy and average cost?

All "dot releases" - Ie. 1.x are available for you to download for FREE from our website. As we release updates we send email notifications to our customers so they can download the latest releases as they become available. All major updates - Ie. upgrading from 1.x to 2.x will be available for a reduced price.

As of version 1.7, ShopInvoice no longer uses FTP. Now only new orders are downloaded, and they are downloaded securely through https://.
