Hi,

I'm doing well, generally, with 3.0.

I'm getting a validation error from UPS on a known good address. When I try to print the label it says Order 7199: Address Validation Error on ShipTo address.

I've shipped to this exact same address using Shipworks before - just a couple of weeks ago. I ended up having to send it using UPS online shipping interface which, as you know, is just about the slowest possible way to ship a package on God's Earth.

We need a way to disable the address verification "service" when it is known to be giving a false error. Can we please add a check box for that somewhere, and make it bypass that system?

Any idea how the same address would work find 2 weeks ago and then not work now? This is a commercial customer that orders from us frequently and I need to get it resolved so Shipworks can handle his UPS labels.

Thanks.

Are you still having this issue? I have logged the option to bypass UPS address validation as a feature request.

Thanks,
Brian

Yes. I must add a shipment to another order that has the same address. For some reason that one will work, but this one doesn't. There has to be some hidden field that is being used on one of the 2 orders that makes it work with UPS system. But the addresses are identical.

Very annoying.

Could you provide me with a ShipWorsk Backup so that I can try to figure out what the difference is?

I found it. Embarassed

There was an extra "l" in "Sun Vallley". The font made it very difficult to see, because I "carefully" compared the addresses at least 4 times. But I just did it again, only looked in the ZenCart database. This time the font made it clear.

So, I'm handled now. However, I still think we need that override button. UPS was taking that address from their web interface. So was USPS. I've had at least a dozen packages go to that bad address. I did a search on my ZenCart database to see just how many shipping addresses had the error. I didn't count but I would guess it at 15 of them.

But, I'm resolved on this issue now. Thanks, Brian.

I had the same problem today. The address was very simple (no box, route, E., N., Hwy, floor, etc.) Google maps found the address (residential) quite readily, but UPS would not validate it and allow me to print a label. I had to ship via USPS Priority to get the package out the door (USPS had no problem with the address). Definitely need a way to bypass UPS validation, and hopefully a work-around until then.

Thanks.

Any updates on a temporary way to disable address validation? I also had to ship a package via USPS Priority because of this problem.

It was the same address I tried UPS with, and I copy and pasted the address again from another source in case of typos.

Not at this time.

May be best to contact UPS directly to troubleshoot why their API is not accepting what is is apparently a good/valid address in these specific instances.
