ShipSense is another unique ShipWorks benefit that learns from your shipping behavior and automatically populates specific shipping fields based on your shipment history. The next time you ship the same group of items, ShipSense will automatically populate the shipments weight, dimensions, multiple packages (for supported carriers), and customs information if shipping internationally. ShipSense saves time and prevents errors because it automatically populates shipment information for you based on history, and minimizes the number of manual entries your employees will have to input when making labels. ShipSense is always (optionally) working behind the scenes and is included with all ShipWorks plans at no extra cost.

How exactly does it work?

For example, let’s say you have an order for 1 pair of pants and 2 pairs of shoes. You then process a shipping label for that order setting the weight to 2 pounds and the dimensions to be 24″ by 8″ by 12″. ShipSense has now learned the weight and dimensions (and customs items information if international) for this group of items. Thereafter, anytime you prepare to process a shipment for this same order of identical items and quantities, ShipSense will automatically populate the weight and dimensions for all orders. ShipSense is always learning for your shipping behavior.
